Director Chad Stahelski recently disclosed plans for a John Wick anime series during an interview on The Discourse podcast. According to Stahelski, the anime series will be a collaboration with talent from Japan, adding a new dimension to the beloved assassin’s universe.

Expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration, Stahelski praised Japanese anime cinema for its unique storytelling, stating, “I am really looking forward to our collaboration because I love Japanese [culture] so much.” He emphasized that the anime format would allow for the creation of epic stories, uniquely suited to the animated medium.

Stahelski assured fans of the franchise an unforgettable experience, emphasizing a focus on compelling world-building and action. He stated, “I do appreciate the slow burnout, but after six episodes, I really like something to happen in my TV shows,” hinting at an engaging narrative for viewers.
