After Black Adam and Jungle Cruise, Jaume Collet-Serra is back in the game with Seven Bucks, which he will be directing and starring Dwayne Johnson and Kate Warne in. But with an eye toward acting, Emily Blunt is also producing. As of right now, according to Deadline, there is no acting contract in place. Director Collet-Serra is working from a Melissa Stack script. The first draft of this action thriller, written by Gustin Nash, is based on Warne, a real-life Sherlock Holmes. She paved the way for other women in law enforcement and fundamentally altered how detective work was conducted as the first female detective at the Pinkerton Agency.

Together with Kari Granlund, Stack wrote Godmothered for Disney. For 20th Century Fox, Stack also wrote the screenplay for The Other Woman. Family Vacation at 20th was written by her and is being directed by her.

The English, a western miniseries on Prime Video, stars Blunt. The previous Seven Bucks collaboration with Blunt, Jungle Cruise, brought in over $220M at the international B.O. as theaters were reopening after the pandemic, that picture received a theatrical day-and-date release on Disney+. She most recently appeared in the movie Oppenheimer, and starting in October, you can watch her in the Netflix film Pain Hustlers.
