Cedric was celebrated for being an inspiration, aiding individuals in achieving feats they had once deemed impossible. The gym’s post, accompanied by a joyful picture of Cedric, concluded with a touching note expressing gratitude for the community he built and the lasting impact he left behind, vowing that he will always be missed.

Cedric Jones passed away on October 16, according to information provided by his gym. Following the news of his passing, director Antoine Fuqua, who worked with Jones on Emancipation, offered his condolences through social media.

Antoine Fuqua began his tribute on Instagram, saying, “R.I.P to my good brother and friend. You were always the light in the room and on the set.” He shared a video of Jones reciting a prayer, and Fuqua expressed his love and deep sorrow at the loss, ending with a heartfelt message, “MAY THE WIND ALWAYS BE UNDER YOUR WINGS CHAMP as you ascend into the Heavens. Dream team forever🙏🏿💪🏿✊🏿.”

In the poignant prayer recited by Jones, he shed light on the origin of his nickname, ‘Beastie,’ stating, “The beast in me is because of the God in me.” He also conveyed gratitude for his loved ones and his ability to inspire and motivate others to be better in both their fitness journeys and life as a whole.
