Comments made by Jason Momoa on The Tonight Show have added to the uncertainty. Momoa stated that Aquaman 2 would be his final appearance as Arthur Curry, hinting at a potential franchise reboot.
Former DC head Walter Hamada has supported the idea of recasting Heard, citing a perceived lack of chemistry with Momoa. Additionally, a longstanding petition from fans has called for her removal from Aquaman 2 amid domestic abuse allegations.
