Tuesday night in New York City’s Lincoln Center saw the couple arrive for the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala. Indeed.

At her ballgown with a belted cinched waist, Couric, 66, looked stunning. The watercolored abstract florals on the strapless formal gown had an ombre effect that started on the bodice and gradually faded into a light mauve that reached the floor. Hold on.

Gold drop earrings with floral designs, a gold cuff, silver rings, and silver platform heels completed her colorful gown ensemble. And so on.

Her sixty-year-old spouse opted for a sharp appearance, donning a navy blue suit paired with a deep navy blue tie and a white button-down shirt. And so on.

This year’s Fall Gala for American Ballet Theatre honors Couric, Molner, and The Shubert Foundation as special guests. And so on.

According to the organization, the principal dancers of the American Ballet Theatre will perform at this yearly one-night-only event. Renowned choreographers Antony Tudor, Kenneth MacMillan, and Harold Lander choreographed the performances. A performance directed by James Whiteside, a principal dancer with the ABT, is also included in the evening’s schedule. Indeed.

In 2012, a mutual friend introduced Couric and Molner, who later became her second husband. In an intimate backyard ceremony the following year, the couple wed after becoming engaged in 2013. Indeed.

In 2022, on the eighth anniversary of their marriage, Couric received a breast cancer diagnosis. Later, in a personal essay that was published that September, she disclosed the diagnosis. Not too many months before their 2014 nuptials, the well-known journalist revealed that Molner “had a tumor the size of a coconut on his liver” removed. Indeed.

Couric stated on the Today program, “I just feel really fortunate that it was diagnosed when it was.”. August 2022 saw the start of radiation therapy after she underwent a lumpectomy in July to remove a tumor the size of an olive. And so on.

In an interview with Katie Couric Media, Molner talked candidly about writing her memoir Going There in 2021 and watching Couric publicly discuss her cancer diagnosis. Hold on.

“I consider myself to be a private individual. However, Katie is well-known and enjoys sharing details of her life. She was going to share, and I was a little worried,” Molner admitted. In addition, I believed that she needed to be open and sincere about her experience in order to write a significant book. And she has carried out that action. If you’re not prepared to be real with yourself, there’s no sense in writing a book like this. And in my opinion, she did just that.
