A small-scale club show in New York City marked the release of The Rolling Stones’ new album. Daniel Craig, Chris Rock, Mary-Kate Olsen, and others cheered them on as they concluded the show with a thrilling duet with Lady Gaga.

The rock legends performed tracks from Hackney Diamonds, including the Gaga-featured “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” the album’s first single “Angry,” “Whole Wide World,” and “Bite My Head Off,” hours before the album’s Friday morning release. Well-known hits like “Tumbling Dice,” “Jumpin,” “Jack Flash,” and “Shattered” were also included in the Stones’ seven-track set. As stated.

Astonished spectators watched as Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood relished every moment of their brief on-stage reunion. As deejays before and after the Stones performance, Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Taylor Hill, Rachel Weisz, Christie Brinkley, Ed Burns, Keegan-Michael Key, Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds, Minka Kelly, Christy Turlington, and Questlove were among those in attendance. Attendees included Grammy-winning producer-songwriter Andrew Watt, who produced Hackney Diamonds and is best known for his collaborations with Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber.

Near the conclusion of the performance, Jagger took off his jacket to dance and sing onstage with amazing backing musicians, including drummer Steve Jordan.

Standing ovations were given by the crowd to Gaga, who sang with Jagger at an impeccable pitch. At the conclusion of the performance, she and the band bowed.

The album Hackney Diamonds marks the band’s return to original music after A Bigger Bang in 2005. The band won their third Grammy for their blues covers album, Blue & Lonesome, which they released in 2016.

After recording 23 songs for the album, the rockers said they finally decided to include 12 of them in the final mix. Songs were recorded in the Bahamas, New York City, Los Angeles, and London.

At the album’s London release, Jagger compared the title to having your car window smashed on a Saturday night in Hackney. He further described “anger and disgust” as the album’s theme. Bill Wyman, an original member, plays on “Live by the Sword,” and Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, performed on two sides.
